I do not like the sound of that "High" master at all. I actually like the premaster the best lol. I'm looking forward to hearing them later on a couple different pairs of monitors, but right now I'm on 2.1 Creative computer speakers which is probably decently representative of what a good majority of people would be listening on. Good for beginners, but does not do anyone else a favour, unless your lazy I guess Times have moved on so please don't post a track from 1920 that was number for a month, it's the digital age now especially drum & bass, it's how things are, landr is basic and now computer in the world knows how YOU want your master to sound, impossible. If a good track sounds poor, it won't do as well as it could of at the very least.įree, paying, landr or no master at all, regardless.ĭepending on the style of genre if all the sounds are crystal clear quality sounds all that needs doing is limiting or compression to lift the output, that's if the producer / engineer has done all the works needed prior. I beg to differ and we all have an opinion, from the everyday listener to Djs producers and all in between. Yes a good track is a good track regardless but on the other hand a good track can be let down with the final mix.

Really? I think I would compliment every track I like regarding the final mix.
Landr vs emastered full#
(BTW, I did all of this in a room with really shitty acoustics and I'm not a mastering guy, will upload the full track as a free download once I get some feedback on it if anyone is interested)
Landr vs emastered plus#

The Premaster (I gained this up by 6dB to level match the processed files, the version uploaded to LANDR had about 6dB headroom and no processing just as they request). If you want to check it out for yourselves I have uploaded a zip with 8 bar loops of the following files: Yesterday curiosity got the better of me so I went ahead and used it to master one of our tracks, going into it being as open minded and positive as possible. Ok, so when I first heard about LANDR my immediate thought was that it would be crap, probably nothing more than a scheme to fleece a few gullible internet investors.
